The Huntwick Recreation Facilities are owned by the Harris County Water Control & Improvement District #116 (District). The
facilities are located at 5300 Coral Gables Drive and 13715 Charwell Crossing (also known as Donut Lake).
The playgrounds and basketball court are open to all District residents at no charge. The playing fields at Donut Lake are also
available to all District residents at no charge. Organized practices will have preferential use of the fields when the group and time
is registered with the Recreation Services Manager.
Use of other facilities requires the payment of a Patron
fee or rental. Payment of the house fee allows access
to the house. Those paying the full fee also have access
to the pool and tennis courts. All use is subject to the
rules and regulations set by the District.
The Facilities are available to rent by all district residents
and Patrons. Patrons will enjoy a significant savings if
they want to rent the facilities.
Some Huntwick community organizations and activities
using the facilities have agreed to rules that require
Patron fees to be paid by all members and/or participants.
These organizations have limited use of the facilities
without further charge. These clubs include the Women’s
Club, Swim Team, Book Club, Bridge Group, and Empty
Nesters.
The facilities have been used for community events including Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day celebrations.

Huntwick Patriots
The Huntwick Patriots Swim Team is open to all Patrons of the Huntwick Recreation Facilities aged 4 to 18 years old regardless of
ability. The team participates in the Northwest Aquatic League. Practice starts the first week in May. The season entails 5 dual
meets against other division teams and ends with a divisional meet in which all division teams compete for the division title.
The fundamental goal of the swim team is to afford an opportunity for all of the swim team members to be exposed to proper
swimming techniques in regards to strokes, turns, starts, etc. and to compete with other swim teams in the league.
Everyone competes against swimmers at their same age and with similar ability. There are ribbon and trophy awards for all
swimmers, regardless of ability. It is a wonderful activity that encourages physical fitness and we encourage all to participate.
